Beyond The Keep is an online multiplayer survival game that blends progression, high-stakes PvPvE combat, and base-building.

Combat System

Weapon System

  • Mixture of weapon firing states and GAS to have complete designer flexibility

  • Firing state objects are created depending on firing type needed for the weapon. A weapon can have any type of firing with a single change of the state object.

  • Weapon firing types

    • Auto, Semi Auto, Burst, Charging, Scatter, Projectile, Slash

Recoil System

  • Predefined recoil patterns (Zipper, Moon, Half-Moon)

  • Recoil based on curve and data table

  • Easily configurable recoil values

Perks and Modifiers

  • On hit effect perks

    • Apply hit effects like explosions, status effects, reveal effects

  • Damage modifier perks

    • Stronger/Weaker damage to certain material type surfaces

    • Can modify weapon stats directly

Melee Combo and Trace

  • Editable melee weapon combo length based on animations

  • Complex trace supported. Trace follows animation

  • Simple trace supported. Shape trace on specific animation timing

Animations

  • Character movement blending

  • Animation blending with all types of weapons

  • Animation blending with different movement states

Resource Nodes and Farming

Hoverboard

  • Non physics based hoverboard

    • Simulated and no physics for optimization

    • Custom movement mode
